Louisville Seeks an HIE Vendor

The Louisville (Ky.) Health Information Exchange is seeking a vendor to build and pilot test a health records bank as the platform for data exchange in the region.

Under the health records bank model, a trusted entity collects the paper and electronic medical records of participating patients, and the patients have control over who can access their data.

Vendor responses are due on September 19 with a selection announced on December 5. A teleconference for interested vendors is scheduled for August 29.
