At the recent MDM and Data Governance Summit this month in San Francisco, MDM Institute Chief Research Director Aaron Zornes released his listing of top product providers in the RDM space. Here are top products evaluated by the MDM Institute and some of their main features.
ASG metaRDM
This is a business user friendly solution, according to the MDM Institute, which offers integrated/common UI across metaRDM, a business glossary and Rochade metadata repository apps. The product features foundational compliance support via integrated data lineage and impact analysis capabilities, centralized governance / management / stewardship and distribution.

This product features centralized governance, management, stewardship and distribution, the MDM Institute notes. It is a business user friendly solution, with strong taxonomy support and mappings, model-driven ease of deployment, implementation and use.

This product is bundled as part of the MDM product suite, the MDM Institute explains. It is used in banking, insurance, retail, health, gaming and hospitality industries. It offers physical and logical industry models via ERwin and XML specification and strong support for selective merging of metadata from physical MDM reface metadata, logical models in ERwin and external data.
Semarchy xDM v4
This product offers iterative, agile methodology, with a flexible architecture and single platform for MDM and RDM, according to the MDM Institute. Its semantic model, rather than pre-built model, enables flexibility to manage simple-to-complex reference data, and its workbench simplifies physical MDM and allows focus on the logical model.
