ACR to offer radiology content on AMA’s new educational hub

The American Medical Association is ramping up an education portal that will assist its members and other healthcare professionals stay abreast of emerging clinical knowledge.

As part of the educational offering on the AMA’s new Ed Hub, information on radiology and imaging from the American College of Radiology (ACR) will be available. The organization is the first medical specialty society content partner to offer education on the platform.

A selection of free ACR content is being hosted on the AMA Ed Hub and is now accessible to all learners, regardless of AMA and ACR membership status, as part of the AMA and ACR’s collective mission to educate physicians and healthcare teams. Learners can find, take and claim credit for these ACR activities directly through the new platform, as well as download a branded ACR CME certificate upon completion.

“The ACR is proud to share a selected portion of our free educational opportunities with physicians of all specialties through the AMA Ed Hub,” says William T. Thorwarth, M.D., CEO of the ACR. “These include educational offerings and trainings regarding physician leadership, data science, research and clinical practice management.”

The AMA has designed the online portal as a streamlined way to find, earn, track and report continuing medical education and other education, with the aim of supporting personalized lifelong learning, licensure and certification needs for physicians and their care teams.



In addition to the radiology-based content from the ACR, the Ed Hub features activities on clinical and interdisciplinary topics from a variety of trusted sources, including the CME activities from the JAMA Network’s JN Learning and AMA STEPs Forward. Activities cover important topics such as opioids prescribing education, firearm safety, precision medicine, ethics references as well as a wide range of trending clinical content.
